Dear Henderson Families,

We have a lot of wonderful things going on this school year! We are so excited to have everyone back in the building where we can focus on building a strong community and providing rigorous instruction.

We want to build a foundation for our students to become lifelong learners. Our staff is learning more about early literacy through our district wide LETRs training so that we can make sure our teaching supports our students to be successful readers.

We are also looking forward to our naming celebration in the Spring. We want to honor Dr. Virginia Henderson and come together as a community to celebrate all we have achieved and continue our commitment to consistently improving our school. Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to the end of the year.

I am deeply committed to working toward both equity and excellence in schools and I cannot wait to dive into this work with you all at Henderson. I look forward to meeting all of you this year.
